There’s a new bike shop in town!

The Velo is not yet open for business, nevertheless owner Jason Boles and partners Sahib and Hari Khalsa agreed to show us around and give us a sneak-peak of what is to come.

Jason wants The Velo to be known for quality products and services, but also as a social spot for cyclists. A fun and inviting place to hang-out in. Located in the Downtown Phoenix Art District and with amenities such as a fit room, massages, showers, a coffee shop and fridges stocked with craft beer; it’s looking like he may be able to pull it off.

Less than half a mile from the Roosevelt/Central Ave Light Rail Station, the shop is easily accessible to both residents and visitors.

The Velo will carry local State Bicycle Co. bicycles as well as other leading national brands.

Jason chose State Bicycle Co. primarily because of its commitment to the community.

Jason assures us The Velo is making a positive impact in the community by sourcing local and sustainable products whenever possible.

This counter located in the lobby is one of several fixtures in the store made out of repurposed materials.

The Velo will serve premium coffee from beans roasted in Flagstaff, and will be one of a handful of bike shops in Arizona with a license to sell beer.
